im looking to upgrade from my MAG 17inch flat screen CRT, and was wondering what the best lcd flat panel is out there. i heard about the 2001fp, but with all the problems ive become scared to buy one. i also saw the HP L2335, oh man widescreen looks nice. any help?
 
Viewsonic makes a VP201 that has the same panel as the Dell 2001FP- get it from monitorsdirect.com for about $1100 shipped. I'd personally like to afford one of these- but then I'd have to afford an X800X XT to drive it.
 
dude at least look at the 213T, dont get obsessed with response times. They dont mean shit. The 213 is 25ms yet looks better than any 16ms i have looked at/Dude people will give you opinon. I dropped 2500 US dollars. In other words "I put my money were my mouth is.

He mentioned 2001FP :/- yeah, I like every Samsung LCD I see- they're just beautiful. Response time can mean everything though, and there have been several accounts ont his forum of the 213T being worse for games than the 2001FP. It's just amatter of what you care about more and how good your eyes are; I know my eyes are too good to waste on anything slower than 16ms, and honestly I think I am going to wait until 8ms becomes a reality (at 24bit, of course). Maybe by the end of the year, Samsung already has such panels in TV's.
 
I'd say, IMHO, the best lcd out there for desktop/dvd/hd/gaming at this time is the HP L2335. If its graphical work you're looking to do, its the Eizo CG21. Everyone's biased, I'm no exception (seeing as I own the L2335), trust me, I wish I could buy them all and compare. :D
