I need your opinions on the best fan controller (and I am not spending $60 on one, must be under $40).

Doesn't matter if its 3.5 or 5.25" (got both open).
Don't wish to make myself, just don't have the time right now.
LCD Readout optional, they are hard to read, so don't really care for them. I have the Vantec Nexus one with the CPU control, and I hate the thing, I need to tear it apart and kill that damn beeping (but otherwise I love it).

I have looked at Vantec, and Enermax. The Vantec with the CCFL controller is nice.

I just want to know what you people think is the best for the bang, the quietest, and all that kinda stuff.

i have the vantec 3.5" one with two cold cathodes, it's nice for the money and if you want ccfl's anyway its a good buy. the switch for the ccfl's is convenient.

I like Cooler Matser Aerogate II. IMO, best looking on the market.
i agree with that. i own one myself, 4 channel control aswell as 4 temp probe hook ups.

Does anybody make 4 to 3 pin converters for running tornados from a controller? I've heard of people making their own, but I'm not really up to that.

i have some that i bought off an ebay auction that i used for the torndo i use to have. how many do you need?

I just made my own fanbus...
=p

(not rheobus/adjustable)

The Aerogate and the Jaba one look awsome, but so does the Vantec. I am running quite a few fans, but they are NMB fans, they draw like .1 amps @ 12volts, so I can stick more than one on a cicrcuit, what is that 1.2 watts per fan?

So keep the options coming, I still haven't quite made up my mind yet.

Super Flower Fan Master:

Three temp displays, RPM display for all fans, seven color backlighting for the display, four channels, not PWM so there is no buzzing noise, and a bunch of removable faceplates. It looks good, it's cheap ($23), and it works. It's the best out there right now IMO. The Coolermaster stuff is nice, but for $45? Forget it.

Looks pretty nice, are there any reviews on it besides Tomshardware?
