looking for a top of the line fan controller.
the el cheapo 8 channel one i bought for my build is garbage (one of the channels fails to spin up the fan).
the controller is a;
Scythe KAZE-Q 8
http://www.performance-pcs.com/cata...ge=product_info&cPath=36_48&products_id=31120
any way want a 'proper' one now. a unit light on bling, that monitors rpm, a nice display, handle a decent load with a minimum of 6 channels (tho 8 would be better).
the best one i could locate is this one;
Aquacomputer aquaero 5 XT USB Fan-Controller
http://www.performance-pcs.com/cata...ge=product_info&cPath=36_48&products_id=31993
has some very cool features, the only down side (apart from the price) is that only handles 4 channels (with rpm monitoring). manufacture does say it's expandable to a total of 10 fans. 4 channels without rpm monitoring plus another 2 supported somehow, it doesn't say.
it also doesn't say how these additional channels are supported. does it require additional hardware to get the extra channels or can it do it from the stock unit?
in any case, it's a sexy piece of kit.
if anyone here has one of these, any comments?
also are there any other fan controllers out there that are comparable. perhaps not as fancy but have 6-8 channels with rpm monitoring on each and a decent display?
cheers.
