I am having one heck of a time looking for the perfect fan controller. Looking for one that mounts in a 5.25 drive. Doesnt matter how many fans it can control, because i can wire some together... no biggie. I do prefer it be able to make my lights flash to music and such.

I've looked at that one. Does it have the option to make your lights flicker with your sound?

No, it doesn't. I have the Sunbeam Rheobus and I actually am going to remove/paint over the lights because I got it for the soul purpose of lowing my fans while i slept.... and not haveing bright red led's on all the time.

But it is a very good fan controller for the price.
 
I have a Scythe Kaze Master in a 3.5" bay since I have a micro ATX case, you can get a 5.25" that will control 4 fans if you have a bigger case.
It displays RPM and temp in a VFD screen.

the sunbeam one does control your lights but does not give you the option to make itt sound active...and if you buy some y-splitters you can control up to 8 fans.

Wow guys, thanks for all the effort. I added each of them to my amazon wishlist hoping some family members or friends will see 'em. I really like that sythe kaze master.
 
Yeah, its crazy nice.
The screen really impresses people who know nothing about computers, all my friends are like, holy shit, that is the coolest thing ever, they say the same thing about the LCD on my G15 too.
 
The Rheobus works as a fan controller perfectly for a great price. The only negative I can think of are it's stupidly bright lights, so if that won't bother you or you can somehow remove them, I would recommend a Rheobus.

Just a heads up, my Rheobus came with one 4 pin to 3 pin adapter, so if you have a bunch of fans with 4 pin connectors, you might need to buy more.

AquaCool do a 5.25" LCD that has speedfan plugins to show the temps.

Well I was and although I didn't buy one, I was looking at the Scythe Kama. Looked pretty sleek with the changeable panels being good to suit various cases.

Eventually I decided not to get a fan controller but to help my cable management. Ideally I'd like mobos to have some form of fan crontrol header which allowed a fan controller to connect to using a SINGLE cable and still control anything connected to the motherboard. Would help prevent alot of cable mess.

Careful though, I had one of those, and 2 yates in parallel killed one of the channels. I had to RMA it, find another controller, and sell the MFC2 to a customer.

bright lights suck @ night time.. trust me there to bright. its cool for the 1st night you install the bus, but after that its annoying. I just turn off all fans anyway.
