Any suggestsion? I need it to have plenty of room for an eatx board, and I need tons of 5.25" bays. Modding comes later. I prefer metal, not a window.

Anyone?

I'm partial to the Lian-Li v1200.

EDIT: It has 6 5.25" bays and one is occupied by a removable floppy plate.

The CM Stacker is a bit iffy on EATX in my not so humble opinion. Places drives too close.
King of the hill undoubtedly is the Enermax 981XPS, no matter what. 10x 5.25" exposed, plus 3 more bays internal. (I think 2x3.5" and 1x5.25" excluding a bottom-mount 5.25"/3.5" combo in some versions.)
12x13? Plenty of room and then some.

mid tower EATX?

what do you definie as being a "mid tower"?

if by short, you'd be best off with a rackmountable system such as my Chenbro SR107.

if by smaller in size...that's not what EATX is all about! If you can find an Antec SX1000/clone, that's about as "small" as you'll find.

The Chenbro SR105 might work as well...as it's not quite as long as the SR107...but doesn't have the drive capacity of the 107.

As far as the original post...the SR107 would not be for you. only 3x 5.25"

however, Chenbro's Ultra would be. 12 external 5.25", 8 internal 3.5", (unlisted but it also supports an additional 5 internal if you use the Chenbro Net cage as well)

How about I want the length, but not the height?...heh...that make more sense now?

then look for a rackmountable system. they're about as "short" as you'll find.

Lian-Li makes a case based on the PC-60 chassis just for EATX boards. I seem to remember it being named the PC-62, or something along those lines.

Ahh...yes...found it. Only one place I've seen that has it though. The link below is to them.

my stacker fits my 13"x19" iWill dual opteron board just fine with optical drives/hd's etc mounted

What board is that?? That's the dimensions I'd expect for a quad CPU board...not a dual...
