I am hearing a lot of complaints about 6.10, and suggestions that we should use 6.5 for folding.

Any thoughts on what driver to use? What has been working for all of you?

Just wondering, but why would 6.5 work but not 6.9?

Any good links for the download? I am not sure if i have the right 6.5 (the version I found says something about mobility).
 
Most people have the idea that newer drivers = better performance, more tweaks, bug fixes, etc. and for the most part that assumption is correct. However, in this case, 6.5 has less bugs than 6.10, and although 6.8 and 6.9 reportedly work sometimes, they actually have LESS performance in FAH and MORE bugs than 6.5 even though they're "newer and fancier".. 6.5 is the driver that they are asking people to use for now (read stanfords own FAQ here:
http://folding.stanford.edu/FAQ-ATI.html ) Though 6.10 will probably be the most optimal driver for FAH (and gaming) once its pollished up, fixed up, and re-released.)
 
I'm running 6.10b without any problems... The only issues that seems to be common cross all drivers - it cannot be run as service.
 
The 6.5's for now. We are close to a work-around for 6.10, but we need to work with ATI to understand the issue with the shader more.
