Here are my choices. I have all of these, so it's not a matter of price.

LiteON 52x CD-ROM drive (LTN-526S)
LiteOn 48x CD-RW/DVD Combo drive
Plextor PX-W4824TA

All are internal, and I'll be using CDex 1.51 with Lame 3.96. Yes, I own all the CDs, so no legality issues here.
