I've been trying to find DIMMS w/ BH-5 chips and so far have found only Kingston HyperX (KHX-3200K2/1G) on Ebay. I know the Corsair XMS 3200LLPT series rev 1.1 had the Winbond chips but my question is what current pc3200 dimms with cas2 (2-2-2-6 timing) will compare to the old bh-5's for overclockability? What would be the next best thing? I'm cross posting this because I think it applies to both. Thanks

general consensus is that the newer the BH-5 modules, the better, and more overclockable

my BH-6 corsairs are kinda old, but they still do alright

next best thing would probably be CH-5

plenty of those around, and the newer CH-5 modules are better then older, as well

BH-5 is BH-5, doesnt matter if its on pc2700 kingston value ram, or pc3500 mushkin level2, they all perform about the same with higher volts (3.1v+, the higher the better).

i have the ram u mentioned. i could not get it to o/c at 2-2-2-5, 2-2-2-6 or 2-2-2-11(it ran real nice tho) so i messed with it at the settings in my sig and u can see the o/c i got.

I have Geil Golden Dragon PC3200, Its nice. I love it.
