As the titles says: what's the best current method for capturing console footage on PC?

Needs to be HD in 16:9 ratio for vids.

I've not done it before, as I've been predominantly strictly a PC gamer for many years now and moved away from consoles long ago, but with a few upcoming titles, I might be going to my X360 but still want to capture high-res vids for YT.

Any suggestions for programs and methods appreciated, thanks!

Ignore the bad reviews, those are user error and people who have no idea what they're doing.

Only does 1080i not p so you'll want to stream at 720p. If just doing capturing you can fix up the interlacing in post process. Mine had a minor issue with audio capture but could've been a driver issue.

These were some of the first and best capture cards on the market. They definitely have been around longer and probably have smoother software and driver support. They can capture fully uncompressed 1080p50 video at a ridiculous amount of data per second, in the gigabyte range so if you're into professional video editing, this may be the best way to go about it.

I myself owned both the Aver's and they worked great for me.
