i need a new mobo as the asus a8n-sli se was stuttering loads in games and has broke. I figured it was to do with the ati card?

so im looking into getting an ati based motherboard rather than nvidia and was looking at the Asus A8R32-MVP Deluxe Crossfire.

anyone have this have any problems with it? is their anything i should know before i order?

AMD Athlon 64 3700+ San diego
2GB Corsair xms3200c2
ATI x1800xt 256mb

There is no reason that a single ATi card can't run on an nVidia chipset properly (of course you can't do Crossfire on it).
Also check out the Abit AT8 32X if looking at 939 RD580 boards.

well the motherboard i had was giving me seriously stuttering problems in games. i tried so many things to fix it but nothing worked.

The motherboard i had stopped working the other day. It would pass the power on self test, get pass the bios enterscreen and get stuck on the irq assignment and hdd screen

i figured it was a currupt bios or it might of been a dodgy motherboard alltogether (due to the stuttering i had in games) So im getting it replaced (thats if the techies say its faulty)

but i might not get a replacment for another 2/4 weeks which i cant be assed to wait for. Id rather buy a different mobo and sell the one i get back, because i dont want to wait 4 weeks to find i waited for another dodgy motherboard that stutters in games.

i would choose a nvidia chipset as their the most succesful but from the nforce4-sli my a8n-sli se had, i dont know if i should ot not

AM2 cpu is out and no ATI crossfire in sight. Always last to react when comes to a new motherboard design. Where is SB600?

yes i plan on going crossfire before the end of the year. im not going to upgrade to dx10/conroe untill next winter probably

im going for the ASUS A8R32-MVP deluxe

hope my cpu wont bottleneck the crossfire
