    Hi all

I recently purchased the Asus Prime X470-Pro mobo as part of a system upgrade from an Intel I5 2500K, Asus P67 Pro and 16GDDR3.

I'd like some feedback on what Ryzen processor would be best paired with this mobo. I will be upgrading to 32GDDR4 as well as keeping my Zotac 1070 video card.

I game on an Asus MG28UQ monitor and play flight sims and shooters, especially Metro Exodus!

    Thanks!

2700x or 2600x depending on whether or not you need the extra cores.. 2600x is only 100mhz less on the base and boost clock with 2 less cores (4 less threads) compared to the 2700x.. if you're using it as a place holder waiting to see what ryzen 3k series will do i'd grab a cheaper 2600 and just overclock it.

This sounds pretty on par with what I'm wanting to do with my current 3770 setup.
I'm waiting till hte 3700x comes out though, maybe even the 3850x, its only a few months away.

I chose the 2600X for this very reason. That 5GHz rumor part is awfully sexy, but I really needed a platform change. 2600X for a holdover

    +1 to the above recommendations.
Get a 2600 or 2600X. Once Zen 2 releases in summer buy one (3700 or 3800) with higher clock speed and sell the 2600.

The most expensive one would be the best pairing.

Don't upgrade to the latest BIOS. PBO doesn't work unless you use Ryzen Master. The BIOS from December worked fine.
