I've been pulling a few pieces together for my new @ home gaming build and would like some advice on CPU cooling and fan setup.
My wife bought me this case for christmas last year (with no input from me). It's not exactly what I would have picked but I'm modding it and making due.
I've removed the HDD cage, changed all the fans, and sprayed it flat black. I'll be putting my HDD up in a 5.25"
bay instead. All 3 fans are 70 CFM coolermaster fans. I also have 1 Scythe SFDB 75 CFM that can be used for blow hole/side fan/cpu fan.
So for my question, I've been eyeballing a corsair H50, partly because its on sale right now at bestbuy and
because of the low profile in the case. However, with my case having a top mount PSU and the rad on the H50
blowing into the case would I run into ambient temp problems or to much heat in my PSU? Would it be an option
to put the rad on the bottom fan spot blowing in and the fan above it as exhaust circulating
the air right back out? I could also mount a fan on the side, mesh door as exhaust and put it near the rad for the H50.
Or would it be smarter to just pay more for a TRUE and leave the two back fans as exhaust.
I'm also planning to put at least (1) 120mm blow hole on the top near the 5.25" bay to exhaust HDD heat and ambient
case heat. I might be able to fit (2) up there but I dont want to get too close to the PSU.
Sorry for all the reading but I like to get my builds right the first time.
Here's some nerd pr0n for your efforts, my sleeved 24pin
