Best cooler for AM2+ cpu?

I'm looking for something that is after-market and easy to install to an AM2+ cpu (Phenom II x4 940) with no backplate on the mobo.

I was looking at the Coolit ECO and some other but most require a backplate and im unsure of how to even get mine since it never came with the motherboard.
 
Usually any aftermarket cooler you would buy new comes with it's own backplate and other installation hardware. I always hear good things about thermalright coolers, they seem to be a favorite around here.
