Best CD scratch remover

Howdy y'all.

I'm fixin to purchase a cd repair machine to remove some light scratches on a couple cds. Does anyone have any experience with these machines and will they actually remove the scratches or will they just make the cd skip less ? Does anyone have any reccomendations as to which machine to buy?

Proper cd scratch repairing machines will proplerly remove the scratches since they grind the cd plastic down. The actual cd information is in the thin bit of metal stuff on the other side of the disc. The rest is merely plastic.

Because of this, you can simply cover up any scratches with a scratch removing agent as someone mentioned and it'll be just fine.

Or, if you're feeling hardcore, you could hand lap and then polish your cd ;)
(though I really really don't recommend that!)
