i was wondering what is the best case that is capable of setting up a good watercooling system without havvin to drill any holes. i'm looking for something taht has a built quality of the lianli or some sort. preferably with a removable motherboard tray and lots of space. i like something that allows me to put the power supply on the bottom of the case. i was eyeing on the silverstone tj07 but that thing is soo expensive i don't think i want to throw down taht much money for. then i looked at the lianli v1000b or v12000b and i noticed that no matter what i need to find a way to drill holes on the back of the case to have the tubes get into the case with the radiator on the outside. i also took a look at the antec p180 and realized that it was so small on the interior there was barely enough space to do anything.

i'm looking for build quality and airflow. so just in case if i don't get wc i know i spend my money on a quality case for good airflow. i want to be able to expand on my built... please give me some feedback on which to get and or give me your own thoughts on specific cases with links to them

There's few cases that are designed for watercooling from the ground up, seeing as it's still mostly an enthusiast/tinkerers' path of cooling.

Odds are you're going to have to cut a few holes here and there, or spend a lot of money on a "made for watercooling" case.

you might like a pc-60 plus, like the one on sale at monarch for 99 + ship case

altho, you'd probably want to mount the pump to the case bottom with screws or something.

Anyway, the basic idea is: rad/fan up front, pump by your gfx card (you'd need a smallish one), and the the water block, with a T line in there somewhere to fill it. You'd also probably need to ditch the hard drive cage. I'm a seriously large fan of the lilis adopting the 120 up front.

That all being said, I agree with the above poster, watercooling isn't for the squeemish, if you don't want to hack up something, you're probably not going to get optimal results.

Thermaltake Tai Chi. Built in mounting holes and grills for up to a 2x120mm radiator on the side. Very nice case, extremely expensive.

:edit: The Tt Shark is also a good case, with built in holes in the back to run tubing through.

no holes drilled for my w/c setup. using a swiftech ultra apex kit with 7/16" ID/ 5/8" OD
tubing that came with the kit. the tubing fit through the holes in the back of the case. i sanded the holes slightly to smooth them out but thats all. the bottom of the case and back tray have holes pre drilled and my pump bolts fit with no problem.

here is a pic of my thermaltake armor. great case and lots of room despite what all the TT haters out there say.

TJ07....haven't put a hole in mine yet and I have a triple rad in there.

CM Stacker

Tai Chi

Unfortunately.... the Lian Li V series need modification of some sort for water.

i would buy that case. mixman do you think you can post a bunch of pictures of your water cooling setup in ur case and all the clearing/room available for me to put in the rad. thanks

I didn't have to cut any holes in my U2-UFO Mountain Mods case, but then it cost more then a good watercooling setup just for the case. Here are some pics

The other really nice thing is it has a removable mobo tray and its large enough where I can pull the hoses and everything out through the mobo tray hole. Makes working on it a breeze.

ima have to save up for one of the mountainmod cases. i've liked them everytime i see a comp setup in one.
