So I had a Stacker 830 Evo that i recently had to give away and I am now looking for a new case. However I wanted something that either I can put lots of fans or has excellent airflow. I saw the HAF 932 and there is no dust filter but I can put a lot of fans inside the thing! How about the Antec 1200? All these cases aren't as appealing as the 830 to me though for some reason!

you could use the haf with negative pressure....or try , its pretty open im not sure it would work or not.

more air out than in...keeps the dust out better than positive air pressure.

That's true, I'm looking at the Corsair Obsidian 800D and it looks nice but I'm afriad it might be too hot for my hard drives!

I personally really like the Antec P182, although, what i did was add a Scythe Kama Bay to the top 4 drive bay slots, so there was only room for one optical drive. Didnt make a difference to me though. That and the case was very quiet.

What drivers are you running? The dries in my server run around 32-37*C and the room is around 25*C. I wouldn't be worried unless you keep the room where your computer is constantly 80*F or you are running 10krpm drives.

I would suggest grabbing a tool like speedfan, active hard disk monitor, or everist to see what your actual hard drive temps are. Anything under 40*C is considered to be normal operating temperature.

Antec 1200
HAF 932
Corsair Obsidian Series 800D
ATCS 840
Thermaltake Element V
Lian Li Tyr PC-X1000
Cooler Master Cosmos

I just installed a C2Q6600 system OCed to 3.1 GHz and a 9800GX2 (partially exhausts into case) into an Antec 300 and I'm very pleased about its cooling performance. I'd say that a similar Antec case, perhaps the 900 or so should work very well if it's airflow you need :)

I have 3 300GB VelociRaptor so that gets a tad hot!

800D has a fan blowing over the hotswap bays your HDDs should be fine in it
dont know why people get there panties in a bunch about HDD temp google did a study a few years ago showing HDD running temp has no effect on drive life

Just three drives...

Any certain case style you're after?
What about noise preference, not concern or as quiet as possible?

How's the Lancool K62 w.r.t cooling and noise (with its included fans)?
When have stock fans been acoustically good...
Design itself is open and hence noisy.

Drive running 24/7 at constant temperature is different from being exposed to thermal cycling.

I hear people complain about the airflow when it comes to the corsair case. It has eight fan mounts but only comes with three fans, kind of silly for such a big case and the way the airflow was designed for it.

amazingly the best case iv had was the first one,i had the antec 300.with some cheap fans, my gtx 260 was idling at 30 and below C, harddrives where at 30c, and CPU was at 25c.

now i got a storm scout and the gtx 260 is at 50c idle and others went up a good 5c idle.

but if you need a full tower case id say a HAF 932 its what im getting soon.

If people complain about the fact there are only 3 fans that come with the 800d they have no business buying a $250 case. At least in my case I am glad it didn't come with all the fans - I wanted a certain fan so I would have swapped anyway - I figure most people that buy that case do the same. As for airflow, I get great airflow through mine - overkill in fact.

The lower HD cage has a place for a 120mm fan to blow across just like the hot swap bay.
