Best Case For $100 ?

I would recommend the Coolermaster Centurian to anyone, great quality, plenty of space.

It's a bit mundane next to my Praetorian, and it doesn't have a removeable mobo tray, but it is quieter with better fans in it..

What is wrong with thermaltake? Just because you own the cheapest LL on the market doesnt mean you can say that every other case is crap. It fits his budget, needs, and looks for him.

i concur, there are many better cases that can be had for the same price but its up to the OP

Because thermaltake is overpriced and crappy.

Their build quality is terrible, I don't just hate Tt arbitrarily. I gave Thermaltake a try ONCE with the Tsunami and

1. It was ungodly loud.
2. The hinges on the plastic door over the top USB/audio ports broke.
3. The front door was not hinged evenly, so it did not close flush with the front of the case.
4. The plastic on the inside front of the case cracked on both sides of the optical drive because my DVDRW didn't fit correctly.
5. The plastic expansion card locking system was horrible and had to be removed.

I also have worked on several older Tt cases that were brought into my previous job by customers and they each exhibited symptoms of bad build quality. I remember the last one I worked on, the connection for the front power button had just plainly fallen out of it's grommet and the guy was wondering why his computer wouldn't boot. He had already bought and tried a different PSU.

Above that, I do not have the "cheapest LL on the market." I own a whole collection of LL and CM cases and would like to think I know what a good case is like.
 
$100 is cheap for a case, how are you going to control build quality when you are getting $100 for it? And if you would like to know, there are a few CM cases (Dont know which) that were made by TT.

$100 will fetch you a praetorian or a solo which both have really well built quality and i would like to see proof of CM cases made by TT :rolleyes:

btw, have you ever used a lian li or a cooler master of the ATC series?

Tt bogarted CM's idea for a bezel a year after the Wavemaster was released, what's your point? They are FAR from the same chassis. The chassis the Wavemaster is built on is the same ATC chassis that was developed for the legendary ATC 111, that was 4 or 5 years ago when the Damier series was still the best Tt had to offer.
 
I was jk aboutthe made by TT because they look the same. But still, TT cases are cheaper than CM, and although I wouldnt buy one, If all you need it for is to hold some components for a cheap build and doesnt have to look good or anything, that is what you get.
 
For 80$ that Lian Li looks really nice. The first thing I'd do is get a Lian Li drive bay cover or 2.... hmm then from there who knows some casters perhaps. Eventually the case would turn into some uber tyte "sleeper" case. Coolermaster seems to offer some nice cases for the money. Antec, well that 160 just didn't appeal to me. I read a while ago about a new case they were coming out w/ that paid homage to their minimalist roots. I can dig that.

have you checked out the antec solo? its the black version of the P150 without the power supply, a very nice case indeed, the only gripe i have about it is that it is soo cramped
