I am getting a new case that supports quite a few 120mm case fans and I doubt the one that come with it will be as quiet and good as the ones I can get out side. I have been looking around and there are alot of praise for the Yate Loon fans if I am not correct. So I have been wondering what are the best case fans that push alot of air and are quiet? For reference purposes the case I will be getting is the Cooler Master 690. All advice is much appreciated. And also If you could point me to a place that has the fans too that would be very nice.

I would personally stay away from anything with a sleeve bearing in this day and age, but that is a lot of CFM for the money.

I own 2 Scythe S-Flex 1600rpm(SFF21F) and they're both silent and move a lot of air.

If noise isnt an issue that get one of these bad boys.;)
I have two 80mm versions of those fans and never used them due to the ridiculous jet-engine noise levels they produce. I suggest to install a speed controller to throttle RPMs if anyone gets any size fan from this series.

LOL at the 220CFM fan :D

If you do value your eardrums and wish to sleep, this might be perfect

Dimensions: 120 x 120 x 25mm
12v: 56.3 CFM, 24.7 dB(A), 1500 RPM
7v: 41.5 CFM, <15.6 dB(A), 1050 RPM
5v: 25.2 CFM, <10.0 dB(A), 675 RPM
Double Ball Bearing
Life expentancy: 60,000/ hrs

Plenty quiet even on max.
I dont know where to get them in the US though.

I'll tell you what, though I've never owned the fan I linked to, I did buy the 151 cfm fan from that series and even on a fan controller I couldnt stand it for very long. I eventually took it out and put in a "regular" fan.:p

Totally understand. All the different sized fans in that series should only be used in remote situations where heat is a major concern, and no one is nearby for long periods of time. They cannot be used in normal home operating conditions unless one is deaf.

Everyone can tolerate noise level is different. For me, anything higher then 28DBA is a little too loud. I got the Scythe E Series, it's quiet if you have a good case that seal the noise. I put it in the Lian Li V1000 and it's still a bit noisy. I would get the F series, that way you can under volt it to a lower RPM if it's too loud.
