I'm looking for the best bang for my buck and im willing to spend around 240 a little above or below it doesn't matter. i just want to get the most out of my money and get the besst grphics card in my bidget range....and i want to kill my cousins 6800 in CS:S...lol thanks
 
I dont know if you can find a 6800GT in the $240 price range but if your buying PCI-E you can get an X800XL for around $250.
 
I thought that was what all the cheapo sites were selling it at these days... newegg is selling em for around 300 though.

What else would go for agp then?

Aye, where are you people getting 6800gt's for under $300?

If you are looking for AGP best bet would be a 6800. I know eVGA has been selling one for about $189, BFG for $200.
 
A 6800GT in PCIe is going to cost you around $350 at least, which is not a good buy at all compared to a PCIe X800XL which goes for $250. $100 difference but same performance, get the X800XL if you're going PCIe.

The 6800GT has the slight advantage price wise in AGP, and therefore if you're going AGP get the 6800GT.

Both cards perform the same, maybe a few FPS to one side here and there but nothing you'll ever notice. It comes down to price. PCIe = X800XL AGP = 6800GT.
