I have a pc where all i do is play games on it.

Which card would you get: x-fi fatality gamer, x-fi platinum or auzentech prelude?

prelude. best sound quality of any gaming card. and yes I have had the elite pro and like the prelude better.

ditto. Prelude FTW. returned my Elite Pro to get the Prelude. Plus if you ever hook it up using optical you will still get full surround sound using DDL instead of just 2 channel audio with the Creative cards.

I haven't heard the Prelude, but I like my Elite Pro. The analog outs aren't quite as hot or colorful as the Prelude's analog outs, which is exactly what I want from my source, but that's all extremely subjective. If you want music to really 'jump out' at you, then the Prelude's probably the card you want.

Also, if you don't need all the weird extra shit the Elite Pro comes with (that I never use), then grab the Prelude and save yourself a few bucks and get some better features to boot.

I'd say the analog outs on the Prelude are better because the OPAMPS used are better (and can be replaced with even higher quality ones).

Then again, the quality is going to be very subjective to the user, and will be subject to the quality of your source material and what you're outputting it too :).

If you're looking for a single connection point the Prelude is the way to go because of DDL (and DTS Connect soon).

thanks for the replies.

I bought the Auzentech Prelude Yesterday. Got it for 169.00 which seems good as most sites run around 190.

Now i have to wait for it to arrive.;)

Good choice. The analogue out (headphone out) is really nice.
