best card for 90-110 dollars?

HD4830, HD4850 if you find a good deal (the $90AR 4850 at Newegg is sold out, unfortunately), 9800GTX+/GTS250 if you can find one in that price range after rebate. HD4770 is coming out soon too which performs somewhere between those two and is supposed to retail for $100.

when is exactly the 4770 is gonna be released? is it gonna be better than the hd4830?

i heard the sapphire, powercolor and and triplex brand of hd 4830 has 800SP is this true?

I haven't been able to find one of those, at least by looking at the specs on Newegg. The 4770 is supposed to be released on the 28th.

actually the 4830 is discontinued, and the 4770 matches the 4830 with 800sp's performance and is about 5% slower then the 4850 (all according to expressview's 4770 review)

Even though, I payed about 215$ CAN for my 4850 about a month and a half ago (stupid canadian prices) It was totally worth it. I can play all source games maxed out with AA with awesome FPS, I've also had great success with bioshock, far cry 2 and crysis (no aa, high settings) overall it's a great card.

edit: oh yeah and this card is a killer in COD4

That would make the cards 4850s. Really the only difference between the 4830 and 4850 is the number of stream processors.

If you can hold off a little and see what happens with the 4770. The rumor mill on the net seems to think tomorrow (4/28/2009), but that they'll be in short supply. The situation will probably be more clear around the end of the week.

Other than that, with current prices and calling 90-110 a hard limit, I'd have to say 4830 unless you can find a deal on something faster. You might find a deal on a 4850 or a 9800GTX+/GTS250 though, so keep your eyes open.

I would say go with an open box 4850 or pick up the newly released 4770. If you want a cheaper solution, you could go with a 4830 and OC it like crazy.

Sapphire and such have $10 off rebates on atm.

The 4770 seems to be the new king for the 90-110 segment.
This card has just been released and additional markup should be expected...

yep 4850/4770
i picked up a NIB powercolor for $55 AR with onboard HDMI and have it oc'd past a 4850 lol
gotta love it
