Late Model Desktop XP2500+ (o/c 2.2G@1.5v, 2.3G@1.6v)
Abit NF7 (or NF7-S or DFI)
512MB PC3200 (one that can run at least 210 cas2.5)
256bit 9800SE (mod to 9800Pro)
80GB 7200 hard drive

Dependin on budget, maybe get 1GB mem n RAID 0.

On a budget and talking about RAID 0 :p I'd get a gig of RAM first.
Get the DFI, they experience I've had with DFI has been great, I also like MSI. Doesn't really matter, that's a personal preference
 
Raid 0 isnt gonna make much of a difference in gaming, except to help reduce loading times, i would mainly focus on getting another 512mb of memory in that system so it can at a Gig
 
Go with the dfi and get some high speed rated memory and FSB oc the chip (it's proly locked)
 
Another vote for the DFI LanParty 2 and a total of 1gb of ram.
Then you will have one of the best "bang-for-your-buck" computers!

Ok get 1GB n skip the RAID, you can get XP2600+ n better HSF if you plan to o/c much higher than 2.3ghz. And add 19" CRT for complete budget setup.
And maybe with all the $$ saved get x800Pro (16 pipeline mod) for Doom3 budget system.
