Best Budget Card?

I'm building a small system just to fuck around with. This system is designed for apps and not games as i don't even play games anymore. What's a great budget minded card that will compliment my system? Thanks

You can get this Gigabyte 4670 (which is a lot better for gaming, it is NOT a silent videocard) for $2 less (after a $20 MIR):

If you don't want to game at all, the cheapo card above is good or you can get a more recent design like this MSI Radeon 4350 (512MB 128bit) for $30 after a $10 MIR (no fan on this one):

If its just for programs, you wont need any 3d acceleration. Go with the cheapest pci card you can find (hell, even a used one).

He still needs something with decent Vista driver support though, so an old PCI card wouldn't really fit the bill.

Dumping money into a videocard made for gaming when you dont game is stupid.

I would go for something used (I'm selling my 8600gt for $40 shipped in around a week or so if you want to wait ). Even though you won't really need it, an 8600gt will run circles around a 7200gs for not much more than the one linked ($33 after shipping/tax) and in case you get the urge to play a game, it'll pretty much max any besides the most intensive games at modest resolutions such as 1440x900.

I used a 7200gs as my main card for a few months, and I wouldn't exactly say it ran Aero like a champ.

99 bucks, 30 dollar MIR =70 bucks for a 9600GT, can play any modern day game fine (COD WAW, Farcry2 etc), plus the card is gorgeous.
