Best block for quad core?

What block won the Swiftec challenge in Las Vegas? :confused:

FuZion's performance is capped with its potential. Increased flow rates and bow mounting don't help that much. The GTX gets better with a more powerful pump and bow mounting. I have both blocks. The GTX is far better on my quad then on the FuZion.
 
GTX is more expensive by about $7. If you're going to use a weaker pump like the D5, you're better off with the FuZion. The GTX is better when paired with a powerful pump like the DDC-2

DDC-2's are the best pump with the highest amount of head pressure for the typical water cooling loop. The D5 is probably the third best. It's only strong point is its reliability. DDC-2's appear to have a 3-5% failure rate compared to the 1-2% that the D5's have. I consider the 2nd best pump to be the Aqua Extreme AQX50Z.

The BEST pump would be the Iwaki RD-30. They run about 200-300$ a piece and require an auxiliary PSU that costs about $100. I just bought two of these myself. They're as reliable as you can get and generate an enormous amount of head pressure. You could basically put the pump on the 1st floor of your home and power your computer on the 2nd floor.
 
This one isn't quite available yet, but with a G 1/4 spigot it looks like an interesting challenge to anything currently on the market. Has a double jet array and is called "Double Impact."

Not necessarily on one certain CPU, but in general.

I have a D-Tek Fuzion, and if there is better out there, I will be more than happy to upgrade.

My D-Tek Fuzion is amazing though.

Unless you are running an overly long loop you are hurting yourself by using the RD-30 rather than helping. I believe even 3 years ago this was the case for most situations when Cathar did some testing over at Procooling. He concluded that the RD-30 has too high a heat dump. It would be even worse now because blocks are trending towards low restriction, flow agnostic designs.

That's only true at 20V plus. New extensive testing has been done by Alex himself (who owns/runs Petrastechshop.com). The heat dump at 18V isn't much more than a D5/DDC-2. I believe you're confusing yourself with the MD-30 which was one believed to be the king of all pumps until subsequent testing showed the heat dump to be excessive. The RD-30 IS the pinnacle of performance. What once took multiple loops due to restriction can now be powered by a single RD-30.
 
reguardless the dcc2 is a very good pump for everyone but the most extreme wcing loops
