what would be the best stock bios settings to get this baby started?

I'm building:
Opteron 165 (CCBBE 0610DWMP)
Zalman 9500
DFI Sli-dr expert
2x1 gb ocz platinum 500mghz xtc
BFG 7800gtx
1-74gb raptor
1- WD 120gb 7,200
550W antec

I'm planning to overclock the cpu in a couple weeks(got to do some reading)...just a bit tho maybe to 2.4 per core at stock voltage hopefully. I'm not willing to go as far as some have with this chip without watercooling.

Disable everything you're not using for starters, and, go with as agressive mem settings as you can for your ram.

I would probally get it up and running then flash the bios.

Just read this guide to get you started.

There aren't any specific 'good' settings to get up and running, but what I would say is after you have it built and clocked @ stock, just install clockgen, cpu-z, sp2004/prime95, and whatever other stability tools you plan on using. Don't bother installing any other significant crap until you've got your OC stable.

He is saying agressive as in, with the timing of the ram.

go to google and type in dfi street if you havent been there already

i advise against dfi-street.
