I need some advice on a new hard drive. My 80GB is loaded and I just need more space. Im looking for something in the 200-250GB range. My biggest concerns are 1.) Speed and 2.)Reliability. So my question to you is this.. Who makes the fastest ATA 133 drives out there with the best reiability? Thanks in advance.

You probably won't see a big difference between the three major brands: Western Digital, Maxtor, and Seagate.

Generally Seagate will be a little more reliable and Western Digital will be a little faster.

Of course you will hear horror stories on both sides about how one person had x number of x brand drives fail him.

Try www.storagereview.com for both speed and reliability rankings.

I've had several Western Digital drives and haven't had any problems with them. The WD2500PB sounds like it would fit your needs quite well.
