Hi there guys and girls

Any suggestion for "the best" android tablet out there with decent battery? Mainly for browsing, Netflix, music and such.

Been looking at the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2, but it just seems to be in the low end regarding battery life. Also considered Google Pixel C, but heard about issues such as Wi-Fi problems, plus it is not available in my country.
Finally, I have no idea anymore if a new Nexus (or renamed to Pixel) tablet is right around the corner, so the waiting game could of course also be an option.

I don't know the larger (9"-10") tablets but I bought my wife the 2013 Nexus 7 tablet and, so far as I understand there has been nothing better released since then. There's rumors of a new "Nexus 7" but nothing official yet. I'm really hoping for another premium 7" tablet as the special lady is due for a new one and the 7" size is perfect for her needs.

This is to say, there may be a 9"-10" option out there but you're SOL on Android mini-tablets right now.

Thanks Alyosha. I have also heard a lot of praise for the Nexus 7 tablet, so maybe it would be worth seeing if the rumors of a new one has any truth to it.

The Shield K1 was kinda the spiritual successor to the 2013 Nexus 7 tab to me since it had stockish Android and Nvidia updated it faster than any other non-Nexus tab, though it was still a few months behind the N7. My son still has and loves his N7 and I have the Shield tablet and would still recommend it if you can find one for a good price, but it is a couple years old now so I don't think I would buy one new this late in its life cycle. I'm not even sure if it's going to get Nougat or not at this point. The next tab that shows promise in this smaller size to me is the Huawei MediaPad M3. The only concern I'd have for it is software support, as I'm not too familiar with Huawei hardware and how well they support it with updated afterwards.

I really like my Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5" (2014) which I use as an ebook reader and travel Netflix viewing device. There is good dev support still, I just updated the tablet to Marshmellow and the battery life is great.

So the current suggested devices are a few years old, it will be interessting to see the Huawei MediaPad M3 as T4rd suggest, and whatever new is coming from the Nexus/Pixel line. Or, you now, if anything that isn't iPad is slowly throwing in the towel, which I certainly do not hope.

If you are in Asia, Mi Max hands down. It's a 6.5", but nothing even comes close to it's specs to price ratio (SD650/3GB/1080p IPS/32GB/128GB microSD/4850mAH for ~$200), very fast fingerprint scanner, Android 6.01, does HW accelerated HEVC 1080p decode, plus it also a dual-sim LTE phone to boot.

Still using a Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5" LTE edition and have no complaints other than I think the battery needs to be changed. It seems to lose its charge far sooner than when I first acquired it.

How about the new asus zenpad 3s 10 that's coming out in a month or so? I'm gonna wait for that one.

That actually looks pretty cool broddy but such a small battery. Oh well that seems to be the trend, had just hoped for getting tablet with better than "charge-every-night" batteries. (with semi-casual use)

You sir, are hard to please :p. I just pre-ordered mine on amazon. I'm a bit tired of my nexus 7 (2012) keeps crashing on me on 5.1.1.

Very much so :p Cool, are you going to spoil us with a little review here when you get it?

Of course, but you are not allowed to read it till you have bought it. I bought it for you after all :p

Ha ha, sounds like a very unique deal - I'll see what I can do ;)

The Best Android Tablet

Nvidia Shield Tablet K1. These folks give lots of details on it. I am still rocking a 2013 Nexus 7.

I have also read up on the Shield Tablet K1, the price alone makes it interessting
