I have 2x6800gts and a venice 3200 pretty sure most of my heat comes from the gpus. what h20 setup is easiest and most effective for a first timer. i recently had "issues" while in the middle of a tournament match and don't want that to happen again. kind of hard to shoot when u only see half the screen due to I don't know what it was but once I downclocked the gpu and cpu it went away.

I would dedicate a watercooling system just for the GT's. your venice core probably doesn't need any more cooling than stock unless you're overclocking like a mad man. that's really the only advice i have :p.

no that's what I think too but what's the best block/pump setup? a prob is that it's a msi mobo so there's not much room b/w the cards.

You need to define "BEST".

IMHO here is the BEST

BEST LOOKS: AquaComputer 6800 REV2 blocks look killer and perform very well. You are best served by having these on their own loop since they product a ton of heat.

BEST PERFORMANCE: DangerDen will most likely out perform the AquaComputer solution, but will be very bulky.

It is really up to you in regards to what you are trying to accomplish. The margin of performance is slight when comparing the two solutions with the AC winning by a large margin in the looks catigory.

SPACE is at a premium with the msi mobo so even tho dangerden rules there's no way they will fit. sigh MSI wtf where u thinking?

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGH!

I hate heat.

WHERE do you buy aquacomputer at? Not on this planet apparently and my german sucks.

1) it helps to post you location when you ask where to buy something.

2) dangerden has two VGA solutions intended for SLI.

since you don't list your location, i'm just going to guess that you are from the country that assumes that they somehow occupy the entire world and put up this supplier: http://www.sharkacorp.com/

Virginia. I have yet to see an MSI SLI setup involving dangerden. Just please tell me if you know something works, where to get it and done. :)

I don't understand why there isn't anything but Aqua that will work? I see DD has new blocks but do they fit? The lack of info sucks and my load temps are 96 celcius.

the maze 4 graphics blocks are pretty slim. NV68s are useless, just get a maze 4 with ramsinks. Look here:

http://www.dangerdenstore.com/product.php?productid=169&cat=67&page=1

should be perfect for you.

I hate to say it but you will be sorry if you take that advice especially if you are doing tournament stuff. Ask around from the people who have been cooling a long time with H20. If you want to go that way there are a lot better coolers on the market than a Maze 4. :)

oh Hard gods have pity on my poor clueless ass AND TELL ME WTF TO DO!!!!!!!!1
:)

ty but what i can't find an example of an msi sli water setup so yes i know where i can get gear but wtf will fit on an msi mobo?

Look at the 4th reply in this thread ;) Aviddigi builds state of the art rigs and the one he shows in that link is a MSI SLI rig running Aqua Computer AquagraFX 6800 coolers...

The AC 6800 blocks are thinner than the DD version and look way better.

if you have the budget to build a complete AC system, then i will back off here and now. the DD VGA stuff performs about as well as AC when used in conjunction with ram sinks, is cheaper, and allows you some more flexibility to cool other components in the future without shelling out money hand over fist.

I agree in part, but the guy said he was having big problems in tournament play, and there are better solutions if you want to go to that style of cooler. Tournament play is where if you have a hardware failure your DEAD period. So if it is a big deal to you then you want the best hardware and upgradability is somewhat of secondary concern. Now my personal feeling is that I wouldn't go to a combo GPU + Ram cooler because I think they are a waste of money as there is no upgrade path. I'm putting dual Silver Twinplex's on my dual 6600 GT's to go with my Silver Cuplex XT. I figure I can use the Twinplex's for just about anything, but I also am cognizant of the fact that it is NOT the best cooling solution.

here's what i'm looking at

Eheim 1048 pump ( aquacomputer adapters ) $35.00

GPU Block ( X 2 Aquacomputer Aquagrafx 6800 one rev 1 and one rev 2 both with green led mods ) $160.00

Reservoirs ( X 1 Aquacomputer Aquatubes ) 1 $55.00

Aquacomputer Aquatube mounting bracket $10.00

Radiator 2 ( Rogge mod chevette rad with plug and cool straights / 120 mm shroud ) $40.00

aviddigi has been very helpful i think this is what will work best

IMHO these look the best (but i am biased as you all probably are figuring out)
VID-NV2-L06
a pair of those would look nice and you dont have to tape some lame ramsinks onto your beautiful cards either.

That sure is purdy. I wonder if you could use 3/8" tubing with that?

Koolance recommends splitting the 3/8" down to 2x1/4" loops for the cards.

Only because the intended systems don't have 3/8" systems native through out their cooler line and you have to be careful about how you do it so as not to get coolant going down the path of least resistance.

well if you are using two identical coolers and good quality splitters the two paths should be equally restricted more or less. what i can tell you is that i have run this setup myself in the ASUS, MSI, and DFI boards with ultras and it works beautifully. :p
EDIT: that's 6800 ultras
