My second CCFL & inverter just blew up on me and while I love the smell of burned components at work, my own system is the exemption to the rule.

Anyway, I was wondering what is a good (read: safer) alternative to a CCFL to create an 'underglow' effect on a Lian Li V-1000? Lazer LED's perhaps?
The case is non windowed, but I use the underglow effect to light up the floor area around my PC, which is quite handy as I tend to game in the dark in the evenings.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

EL wire is a *very* faint glow. I'd go with LED laser lighting or, do as I did, and make some feet yourself out of acrylic. They're very easy to light.
