I am looking for a LGA775 cooling solution for my Lian Li PC-V100 Plus II. I can't use the Zalman CNPS9500 because it is too tall in the case, because it has a special vent. Any suggestions of coolers? I don't care about noise all i care about is how cool it is.

No water cooling...Thanks

Arctic cooling Pro. I have the AMD side (Pro 64) brought my temps down 10 degrees C on my FX-53. 35 bucks at frozenCPU.

If the CNPS9500 is too tall for your case, then that sure takes out a lot of the high quality heatsinks...

yea i know :( i heard one person that got the 9500 to work, but i dont want to take a risk of it not working. I might go buy at compusa then take it back if it works and buy it off newegg.

People that own the CNPS9500! Will it still work since the motherboard in the case i have is like flipped around, will it still blow the right way?

so it needs to blow to the right from this view, but im wondering if its possible to mount it that way.
 
I don't have experience with that heatsink but it should be able to mount that way laxmiddi44.

I'd still look at the arctic cooling freezer 7 pro. Its only 107mm tall. I'd not worry about the cone thing that is supposed to route air, this cooler is so good you wont need it. The cooler can be placed to push the air any-which-way you'd like.

There are stats on the lian-li cooler cone deal and it truthfully only lowered cpu temps 5-8 degrees at full load compared to a closed case with no cone. Your cooler will beat that easily, with less noise than stock by far.

hmm.....both are so good!
 
I would think that it would make the case have a better ambient temperature because it is taking the hot air and moving it out right away.

yea thats the only advantage i see to getting the 9500, hmm...

what does the thermaltake do? just move air around the case, or what?
 
It pushes air down at the heatsink, and that is a pretty tall heatsink from what I have heard...

How are those Aerocool Turbine 1000's? Are they loud, good airflow? Can you link me to the ones you have.
