Im going to put together my gaming pc soon, and one important thing i really forgot about was the cpu cooler. I was originally going to use the core2duo E6400 but I chose to stick to the Q6600. I am planning on overclocking a little while after I put the system together, so would the stock cooler be enough? Any suggestions for coolers between 40-70?

Thermal Right Ultra-120 Extreme

You'll need a good fan for it as well. Anything 120mm 80+cfm will do the trick. Yate Loon comes to mind.

He does not need 80cfm. 60 is plenty and a whole hell of a lot quieter.

I was gonna go with the lapped true and scythe sflex fan from crazypc.com, i was just in the process of ordering it and the website stopped responding when i was about to check out.....figures

yeah, the TRUE, the higher CFM fan you get the lower temps your gonna get, at the sacrifice of noise of course...i run a pelteir cooler, with a 60CFM fan on it, it's almost silent, i also have an intake fan in front, 2 exhaust fans, and the two fans in the power supply... computer is almost silent..

My dad uses a Tuniq tower but he hits 65ºC @ 3.2 on a Q6600 B3. Sorry to thread jack but how much would that help his temps to get a TRUE?

Get a boxed CPU with stock cooler and see how it does. A 3 year warranty is worth the ~10$. If you get a nice OC and temps are close to 70c or over, get a better HSF. If not, dont waste your money.
