i'd like to have an x700 or a 6600 when the come out, but they are both pci-x so my quesiton is what is the best agp card? is it still the 9800xt or what is? btw i'm not looking for an aruging match about what is better, just personal opinion or plain fact BASED ON REVIEWS

Either the Radeon X800 XT PE or the Geforce 6800 Ultra Extreme, both are pretty much neck and neck.

ya they are both really good but also reallly expensive...if you want the x700 or 6600 wait a couple months for the agp ones

The x800 XT PE and 6800 GT and or 6800 Ultra Extreme are atleast 2 times faster then the 9800pro and 9800xt's.

So to answer your question...

yeah but im guessing if you are looking the x700/6600, you are lookin for about ~200? the 6600 will come to AGP before the x700 does, but till then, its the 9800pro. of course, you could get a vanilla 6800 for ~270-280 and it would beat the 9800 handily... the x800xtpe and 6800 UE are both around 550msrp.. and at like 800 right now because of price gouging

yeah i'm hoping for $200 range but i may be able to spend more eventually though

Hi... I'm trying to decide between getting a Ford Focus or a Geo Metro. Which is better, the Corvette or the new Ford GT?

BTW - PCI-X is not the same as PCI-E; PCI-E is PCI Express, a new serial bus, PCI-X is a faster, wider 'normal' PCI bus.

You won't find an Ultra Extreme anywhere. If you work hard you will get your hands on a 6800u or x800xtpe in a week or 3. I'd make love to my x800 if it didn't hurt so much.
