I finally tracked down a third VW266H monitor so I can run an eyefinity setup. I have two 8reference 6950s in crossfire and am in need of an active display-port adapter. Looking around there seems to be several options varying greatly in price. What are you guys using?

None... use miniDP->DP cables if one or your monitors have DP inputs

my active powercolor minidp->dvi adapter works 50% of the time at best, and according to wsgf forums, other adapters (even the usb powered blitzkrieg one) arent much better

there does seem to be less problems with minidp -> vga adapters...

some guy on wsgf used a mini dp -> vga, vga->dvi, then dvi cable and it worked fine according to him.

What kind of "not working" are we talking about here? I've got an accell active mini-dp to DVI adapter with my eyefinity setup, and aside from some tearing on that screen, it works well.

At reboot, third screen will shut off and I'll need to reset the monitor by unplugging the mini dp plug at the back of the PC and re-insert it.

Sometimes even if all is OK, like now, it won't even allow me to extend view to a third screen (either via screen resolution setup or CCC).

It is 100% random.

Well I ordered a Visiontek mini DP to DVI adater for $28 shipped on Amazon. Hopefully it will work out alright.
