i was just wondering out of the few that are out there which ones are the best performers, oc'ers, and best value.

Look for the Shuttler A50NR or something like that
i highly recommend it

personally i'm waiting for next gen hardware unless i get a good deal on something a.k.a "an offer I can't refuse"

It's interesting that review named the SiS 755 chipset as the top performer. In the past, SiS has had very bad hard-drive thoroughput but it seems in the SiS 755 the hard-drive latency is very low. It will be interesting to see how Asus' implementation of the chipset turns out. Personally, I'd like to see whether their claim to a working PCI/AGP lock is true :)
