Hi there.

I was wondering which 6800GT is the best to get right now? Asus,Leadtek,BFG,XFX,eVGA,gainward,MSI,elsa or albatron?:)

Also overclocking potential on average to ultra speeds.

the XFX then the eVGA thoughs 2 are the cheapest

the BFG if you can get it for MSRP or less is the best middle ground factor OC + good pice at Bestbuy $400+tax or $350+shiping and tax at outpost.com if thay still have them
 
I cast a vote for evga since their customer servicie is unsurpassed

I sent a defective card to BFG and received my brand new card that same week (including shipping time). BFG has made a customer for life out of me. I've got the 6800 GT OC now.
 
Leadtek has a good card, good cooling. Not sure about their customer service though, never had to deal with it really.
 
FOR THE 100th freaking TIME, current videocards (brandwise) ARE ALL the same!!!

the only thing slightly different is the bundle and warranty

quality is good on all of them, they all use reference designed PCB's, they all overclock with in the same margin (varies)

The difference in overclocking has to do with variations (luck) in the GPU core and memory chips, neither of which is made by any of the manufacturers.

They all use the same exact core, same PCB layout, same exact memory, same BIOS (thats why you can flash any brand bios), most use the same HSF, but none of the non-reference coolers have really stood out as better, in fact many argue BFG's is worse b/c of its one piece design.

Videocards are much different from motherboards where brands, PCB's, BIOS's are all different and perform differently.

Flip a coin, find the cheapest, brand doesnt really matter on a videocard

BFG and Asus are useing costom PCBs now
 
Thanks for the replies guys. I will check out BFG,eVGA,XFX. i think these are the 3 cheapest at the moment:)
 
they arent all the same, some have better warranties. :p
but in build yes, they are all about the same, so i would pick one with a good warranty.
i went with the leadtek because of a 3yr warranty and great cooling. bfg offers a lifetime warranty (and is the only company that does as far as i know).

you will notice evga only has a 1yr warranty. not a big deal to some ppl, but i try to get the most for my money. the leadtek also comes with prince of persia:sands of time, and splintercell: pandora tomorrow full version games and costs under $400 if that influences you any.
