Good morning,

Ive been evaluating a bunch of SATA racks for purchase, what im primarily looking for is as follows

#1) 3 3.5 HDs in 2 5.25 bays
#2) Hotswap racks for each HD
#3) The ability to power more than one drive with a single power adapter on the back of the rack
#4) Good cooling

As far as I can tell, my options are somewhat limited by 3in2: Icy Dock, or Kingwin.

Just looking to get a general feel, or any personal impression of any 3in2s you guys might have used (Ockie, your opinion would be great if you have the time to give it), im basically making my own Galaxy, but in a 5u instead.

I love the Buffalo/IStar/Athena/etc brand of 3in2's, they have good cooling, you can control power to each drive, and they are quiet. They also have the option of using sata power or molex legacy power. They also integrate the led signaling cables into the unit, so no additional wires.

Oh and they are the cheapest out there and are good quality.
