Best 30 inch for gaming

What GPU do you have?

What PSU do you have?

To play at 2560x1440, games a optimal settings, you will probably need (2) GPUs and at least 750w PSU...
 
hp zr3ow has lower lag than any of the other manuf. the pic quality is sunning also ips panel
 
I have no problem playing games @ 2560x1440 with one single EVGA GTX 260. While I agree there is no such thing as too fast, SLI is total overkill.

Are you using any of the advanced features while gaming? AF, AA, Triple buffering?
 
The 295 may have some trouble pushing those graphics on a 30 inch monitor. You will def max out your VRAM on some games. Your processor should be fine, esp clocked to 4GHz. You may want to replace your 295 with something a bit beefier. An AMD 6950 will run circles around the 295.

As far as what type of monitor you should bye. I would go with the Dell 3011 FTW!!!! I have a few of the 3008's where I work (Technical private High School in SF) Students do Autocad on the 30 inch monitor's. I took one home last year just to try a 30 inch monitor for a week. My 5870's in crossfire had trouble at 2560x1600, as they were running out of memory. As far as the monitor itself, you cannot beat a 30 inch monitor...

Just keep that in mind when you make your purchase.
