Was going to get a H100i, but am now looking at doing a custom, lots of info out there and just wondering what's the best 240 out there for low speed (1,000rpm or so) fans? I will be cooling a single 2500k with it as my gpu already has an AIO and temp are amazing, though I might add it later to the loop with another 120 rad, just trying to ball park a price on a nice loop vs a H100i.

You have to take into consideration, that custom WC are much more expensive than closed AiO WC kit.. Well about your question, 240mm radiators like h100i you could find the swiftech MCRX20QP or XSPX EX240 both are designed for low speed fans... But as you said if you want to add later your GPU to the loop you will need another 240 slim radiator, or go directly with a 240mm fat radiator like the XSPC RX240....

Not looking for a 240 like the h100i, but rather the best 240 on the market right now for lower speed fans, just say AP-13, don't really care about price, just seeing what the best vs AIO cost.

Alphacool Nexxxos Monsta, closely followed by the UT60.

Indeed, the Monsta and UT60 are optimized for low speed.

I've been happy with the xspc kit I got about 2 years ago, cleaned & disassembled once so far to service it . Setting it up and putting it together isn't hard. You could buy this & some coolant, then buy fans of your own choice if you don't feel like using stock.

I'm sure it's a good kit, but if I do custom, it's going to be the best, I got a new job and it's paying a good deal more than my last, so I can swing a much higher price now for a build.

They have slimmer versions in the form of the XT45 and ST30, but I wouldn't bother with the ST30. As you go thinner, you lose cooling capacity.

Just saw a pic of one mounted, holy crap, that is thick, wonder how that will fit in the p280.

Well... Start thinking in a new case if you want to use a thick radiator in your case.. Your case barely support the thinnest radiator (27mm or 30mm).. The monsta follow that name and its a 80mm thick monster radiator...

Both monsta and UT60 require huge full sized tower cases for use or at least for the monsta big mid tower case with support on bottom or front mount for 240mm radiator (and some mods have to take in mind)... Thats why i not mentioned early i saw in your signature your case.. And just mentioned thin radiators

I have a few other cases, some will fit bigger 180mm rads, but I like the p280 to much to move from it, so I will be looking in other directions if the rad will not fit the p280, gotta check inside to see what room I have.
