Best 2 Player Game

What do guys recommend as far as Two-player multiplayer games are concerned on the Xbox 360. I would like to bring my new 360 to a LAN and I want an entertaining game that doesn't need to be on XBL and is for 2 players.
 
Gears of War coop is a blast
Sports games (I prefer hockey and football)
Rockstar Table Tennis
 
I'll 2nd Gears of War....

Kameo
Lego Star Wars II : The Original Trilogy

Are also fun Co-ops......

All of them make for a fun time, there's nothing like seeing the look on your girlfriends face when you pull a 1st round knockout in FNR3.
 
table tennis definately makes for some fun and intense head-to-head play, great 2player/xbl game :D

I found marvel, aside from being a bore to play SP, a terrible coop game. The game forces both players to stay on the same screen, doesn't allow independent screen/camera positioning. Imagine playing gears, and everytime your partner reorients the map, your screen reorients to their POV. It's a terrible coop game.

I brought table tennis over and had a blast. But now I need another game to entertain. Is there any more? I was thinking R6V or Lost Planet but I don't have them so I can't tell if they would be good for offline 2p
