i know the 1800+ are overlclocking well right now but what are the best weeks to go for + does anyone know where to buy them in the uk

No clue, but my 1800 did 2.3ghz on air and it was a AMD Athlon AXDA1800DUT3C 9252366270905
JIUCB 0250VPOW Processor

I have another forum posted about it. I want to find more about the stepping on it.

no way thats like a year old, i didn't know they made any B revision 1800's that long ago.

i'm sure you know what the 1800DUT3C bit means.
0250VPOW means year 2002 week 50 then it's information on batch stuff (cant remember exactly)

9252366270905...the last four numbers are how close it was to the centre of the wafer (counts up from 0000 then works it's way out in circles i think) the lower the better (better quality wafer) so to get that oc of 905 is good.
the two digits before that denote what speed the cpu was designed to run at, so yours should have been a 2700+, you probably got one that didn't meet quality standards for factory specs but still runs fine if you up the vcore a little.

Basically you got a good chip.

I don't think they make the 1800+ anymore do they? I'm sure if you get any Tbred-B it will reach 2.2ghz on air at least. I guess you should go for 031X because I think that was the farthest into '03 they were made.

nah i know they made the 18's definately up until the 033x's because a mate of mine got three. you might be thinking of the 1700's, they stopped in the early weeks of 03

Yeah, I guess I was wrong then. I'm not too familiar with those beastly overclockers, the 1700+ and 1800+.
