Best 120 radiator???

low-cfm fan: Thermochill HE 120.1
high-cfm fan: Thermochill PA 120.1

Cheap alternative: Black Ice GT 120.1 (about half the price of the thermochill's,NEARLY as good.

Garbage post.

Thermochill HE is designed for high CFM fans, where as the PA is designed for low CFM fans. Regardless, the PA is a better radiator no matter what cfm your fan is.

As for your cheap alternative suggestion, at 600rpm fan speed the PA is NEARLY *twice* as good as the black ice GT. You get what you pay for.
 
just an assumption but since you're looking for one 120mm radiator, i'm assuming you are trying to keep things internal.

be sure to keep the dimensions of the above mentioned rads in mind when making your decision because even tho they are all "120mm radiators" - there is definitely a difference in their sizes

i wouldn't go so far as to say it was "garbage". i think it was just a flip around mistake.

The two were definitely in the wrong place, but the more important mistake was recommending the HE at all. Even for high-cfm fans, the PA is the winner.
 
i have the BI GTS 120, love it. the others mentioned are about twice the size of the GTS and cost twice as much. if your on a budget then GTS if not, PA120.1.

what components are you cooling? case?
 
Damn.. I knew the PA was Low cfm, but for some reason it came out as the High CFM :confused:
I also didn't know that the HE < PA even at higher cfm.
 
I think in excess of 140ish cfm, the HE may pull away from the PA, but under that, the PA is the best. Plus, 140cfm is a lot of noise. If you have the money, the PA120.1 is the best 120 radiator out there. Unless you're in the UK, then there's no reason not to get the PA.

as i mentioned earlier, space could be a deterrent... PA's run almost 6cm in thickness
