While cleaning out my computer and redoing my wiring, I bent two pins on my main computer. :( They are on the back of the hard drive. I googled the problem, and it appears that my data should be fine, but I can't get the connecter to plug back in. It won't go on the two bent pins. Does anyone have tips?
 
i would reccomend using a small pair of needlenose pliers to un-bend them.
 
bend it back very carefully, if its bent too much it'll break off. happens all the time
 
I've been working with computers for 3 years and it hasn't happened to me yet. :/ I was a bit worried at first, but it seems fine now. :)
 
atleast one of us is having some luck. i'm dying over here with my raptor
 
One time I was having the hardest time getting my monitor cable to plug into my video card. It just wouldn't go on. Then I pulled it out and found I had bent 2 of the pins. :cool:

I bent them back and didn't tell anyone.

good story.
