BenQ G2400WD Problems - Need HelpHey

Problem: BenQ G2400WD
Menu fonts and other fonts on firefox and in windows have a red/purple halo around them and appear really fuzzy (via DVI)

Everything else on this monitor looks great. No input lag - great colors. Everything else is perfect except for this.

So I'm stupid...but after scouring the internets I basically discovered it was cleartype, and not the monitor, that was causing the red/purple haze on the text. I'm looking into solutions such as using Freetype font or higher res font (don't know if that exists). So I'm keeping the monitor. This just to let other noobs know if they encounter this problem.
 
let me see, since I have had my g2400WD I have run xp 32, xp64, vista ultimate 32, and vista ultimate x64 (current).

I have used cleartype every time and not had that problem, with overdrive on and off.

Maybe exchange not a bad idea?
 
Hm...perhaps that is a good idea, I wonder what newegg's exchange policy is. I'll go take a look now.

BTW thank you because I wasn't sure if this was a problem with all of the g2400wd models.
