Yesterday I received a benq FP241W from NCIX. btw manufactured in November, NCIX seems to have applied the firmware fix. So far I'm fairly well satisfied with the monitor, a few quibbles apart, but it seems to me images sometimes aren't quite as well displayed as on my previous monitor, a many-years old and recently deceased Silicon Graphics SG1600. It seems to me the colors aren't as nice and images show somewhat less detail on the Benq. The SG was a 17" lcd with a resolution of 1600x1024, so had a quite small pixel pitch, perhaps contributing to the impression of greater detail.

When the old monitor died I bought a new system. If I hadn't had an immediate need for a monitor, I would have waited to look at more of the forthcoming products. Anyway, I'm curious about others' impressions of thre image quality of the Benq. I'd especially like to hear from anyone who has looked at it alongside other monitors 24" or larger.

Thanks
