I was wondering if anyone knew how BenQ is handling RMAs for the FP241VWs since they are discontinued (I think?).
There are 2 problems I'm having with my monitor, but they are more annoyances than major issues so depending on how they handle the RMA I may or may not try it.
Problem 1:
Audio via HDMI often loses sound in one ear of my headphones. Playing with the plug will eventually fix the problem. It is not a problem with my headphones, they work flawlessly with my computers/MP3 players/etc. Happens with both my PS3 and Xbox360.
Problem 2:
Occasional blackouts, its doesn't happen very often so it doesn't actually bother me much (audio problem bothers me much more).
I can live with both of those problems, so if RMA is going to get me a subpar replacement, I'll just keep it, but if they do a refund I may consider taking it and picking up something else.
Another question - does BenQ pay shipping both ways on RMAs? Shipping from Hawaii isn't exactly cheap.
(I still love this monitor, but after having the sound in my right ear cut out on me 4 times in 10 mins while playing the new Star Ocean, I got a bit annoyed.
