My monitor took a dump last night so I called BenQ this morning to see about warranty. It's a refurbished V2400W with 1 year manufacturers warranty. So anyway, the guy that was helping me took down my info, S/N, and I had to e-mail him my invoice (which he confirmed that he received).

I haven't received any e-mails yet with the information for sending the monitor back. Does anyone here have any experience with BenQ support? If so, how long does it usually take to get the info for sending the monitor back, and what is the usual turnaround time after sending it in? Thanks.

I've dealt with them twice and neither case were they good with e-mails. Had to call them to get things set up. In both cases, once they finally issued an RMA, took a week or so to get stuff back.

Hmm...that doesn't sound too good. No e-mail with shipping info yet, which is odd because the customer support guy I talked to e-mailed me back to tell me he got the invoice. How long did it take to get the info for you to send your stuff to them? He said they'll e-mail me, but if it takes too long I'll just call them again.

Sorry for bringing this up again, but I wanted to ask about the shipping method used to get the monitor back. They received my monitor Thursday and I called Friday and the Customer Support rep told me that it had been fixed and would probably be shipped out that day. They did not have a tracking number on Friday, so I called today but their offices are closed for President's Day.

So...what shipping method does BenQ use to get the monitor back to you? The main reason I'm asking is because I'm going to be busy the next day or two (with no time to call them for info) and I need to know when it may come, especially since the package probably requires a signature. Thanks for any help.

...Call them back and ask? Then you can find out method and if sig is required.

I would, but I can't. Their offices are closed today for President's Day and tomorrow I won't have time because I'll be in class all day. Oh well, I guess I'll find out soon enough.

They are terribly. My G2400WD blew up a year or so ago, to make a long story short, I was using an old 19" CRT for about a month until I got a working replacement. They shipped my broken monitor back to me still broken then tried to tell me that it must've broke in transit.

I'll never buy from them again.

Well I bought my monitor in mid-September 2009, and it lasted about 5 months before the screen went a distorted pink and purple. Granted, it is a refurbished monitor, but I expected it to last longer than that. I'm hoping that the monitor is fixed and there's no stuck/dead pixels. I'll keep my fingers crossed that it'll last longer than it has already.

Mine actually went 'bang', smoke came out. The DVI port stopped working, VGA still worked but it looked noticably worse so I sent it back.

They shipped it back, said it worked.. I finally got them to cross-ship a new one (well, it was actually a refurb and for some reason it will never wake up from sleep but that's another story..) so I could get a working monitor.

I was just generally dissatisfied with them, they would take days to reply by email, when I'd call, I could never get a straight answer on anything ('I have to ask my supervisor and I'll get back to you') and it was just a general pain in the ass.

The replacement has been working since though.

When I called, they were fairly helpful, but I DID have to call for them to do anything. I asked if they would send me e-mails with info, but they did not and I ended up having to call. When they were on the phone they usually got stuff done.

I did get the tracking today for FedEx, and they attempted to deliver, but no one was at home to sign for it. I'm considering skipping my only class tomorrow (the delivery time today was at the time of the class tomorrow) so I can be there when the package comes. If I can't get the package tomorrow, then I won't be able to get it on Thursday either because I have classes all day... :(
