Hi, I don't know if someone can please answer this but I have an issue with my Benq BL2411. Basically when I increase the contrast on the monitor, the white level becomes over saturated very quickly between 50 and 60. I can test this using the Lagom white test here:
http://www.lagom.nl/lcd-test/white.php
What happens is, the boxes very quickly disappear as soon as the contrast reaches 60 or thereabouts, so only the top left box is visible, the rest of the screen is nuclear white! This happens in all modes, Standard, User, sRGB etc. It's definitely the monitor as I have tried different hdmi/dvi cables and different sources (pc and separate Blu-ray player). Only the Benq has the white problem. I am using a dvi-dvi cable for pc and hdmi-dvi cable for the Blu-ray. Same thing happens. (I used the same Lagom image on the Blu-ray via the usb stick plugged into it). I have posted an example of what this looks like here:

The thing is, this doesn't happen on other monitors or hdtvs, so is there a fault with the Benq or is it supposed to do that?. I have tested a Dell U2311H, a Panasonic tv and an LG tv and they all have visible chequered boxes up to maximum contrast 100. The change in the boxes is more gradual from 50 (very visible) to 100 (very feint but still visible).
I would appreciate any ideas about this as otherwise the monitor is good. It's just I would like to increase the contrast for a more defined/standout picture when gaming, but without the nuclear bomb effect lol! Has anyone else got this monitor and does it do the same on yours? Thx for any feedback
