Benefit of using a monitor over TV

I am currently gaming on a 32" 1080p Vizio. I have always used a TV for a PC monitor.

I was curious what the benefits were to using a monitor over a TV ? I like the TV because of its size, that is the only reason I use it.

TV's depending on how they're setup can have a lot more processing and therefore a more lag. "game mode" etc can assist with this as they usually minimize or turn off this processing but its not always a perfect fix, depends on the set.

Blur reduction, higher refresh rates, adaptive sync, and more flexible resolutions like 1440p for monitors

Monitors generally have less lag, they can have an adjustable stand, they've historically had higher pixel density, and they offer other resolutions than just 1080p and now 4K (e.g. 2560).

Thanks for the replies guys. I may invest in one soon to see the difference. I will just miss my the size of my 32" TV.
