benchmarking software?

not a gamer so looking for a benchmarking program that will basically give me raw numbers to compare against comparable builds. was told passmark version 7 was one of the better ones.... any comments from those that have used them?

i have all the usual suspects with regards to small use apps, gpu, cpu,prime95, etc but am looking for what my performance is not what my vieo card can do and most in direct comparison with my velicoraptors and other drives in my puget systems build. i do believe at the time of build (early december they were using pcmark 05?).

i have vista ultimate 64bit.

OP: you might want to choose benchmark(s) that give a performance indication of the types of programs you will be running on that system.

nik softwares NX2 and nikons viewNX... along with cs4 for anthing NX2 can't do but honestly i haven't had a scenario where NX2 couldn't do it all for my D700.
