Just ordered the parts for my new system.

ASUS A8N-SLI
Athlon 64x2 4400+ (1MB per die)
2x BFG GeForce 7800 GTX OC
2GB Kingston Hyper-X
120GB Western Digital SATA

Yeah, I splurged a little, but got the wife's approval. :p

Anyone have a similar rig and some benchmarks to share?

On a side note: I did go with BFG after the fiasco that I had with them. I had to go back for another replacement 6800 but the second time they were much better and won back a customer.
 
why not just read one of the many hundreds of reviews posted on about every computer site in the world guy

Well, it's a lot more reassuring getting the scores from regular users. With the review sites, they usually have the rigs tweaked for maximum performance, you can't necessarily assume you will get those scores when you get your rig (i've run benchmarks on friends rigs and none of them actually got as high as the scores on review sites for their cards).

Atleast this way, you can be sure you can reach atleast their level :) I go to review sites for card to card comparisons, for actual performance, i look at forums for similar specs and see how well they do.
 
actually your wrong most reviews dont do oc results of the gpu and cpu so again I tell you read many of the hundreds of reviews allready done on many of the computer sites. All in all its hard to find any reviews done with the cpu oc'ed with the 7800gtx thus far so your totally wrong. And lastly the reviews done by these hardware testers are far more reliable than any so called user claiming bs scores.
 
almost exact same rig as mine. If you get lucky youll get a stepping on the proc like me. I have it at 2.6ghz stable on stock air cooling. Though I dont know how good the board you picked is at overclocking compared to teh dfi.
 
2.6 on stock air? Wow.

I haven't even thought about OCing yet. Maybe it's time to start?

I still have to wait until sometime next week to get everything in. Damn, i'm antsy.
 
Hell yeah. The Toledo core is working wonders for me. I dont know if I have an amazing stepping, or if all the 4400s are just awesome overclockers.
